Installation in three steps

Takes a minute. The app is signed and notarized by Apple, so there is nothing to set up.

    Open the .dmg

    Double-click the downloaded file in Downloads. A window with the SuperSigner icon and an Applications folder appears.

    Drag SuperSigner into Applications

    Then you can eject the disk image and delete the .dmg; the app is already in place.

    Launch SuperSigner

    Double-click SuperSigner in Applications. macOS asks once whether you want to open an app downloaded from the Internet. Click Open.

What you will see on first launch

macOS shows this question for every app downloaded from the Internet. The sentence about Apple checking it means SuperSigner passed notarization. Click Open; macOS will not ask again.

Apple checked it for malicious software and none was detected.
Cancel Open

Upgrading from an older version?

Drag the new version to Applications over the old one and confirm the replacement. Your license, settings and saved certificate password stay.

After that

Open a PDF, load your .p12 / .pfx certificate, place the signature and save. The free version signs 3 documents; a license unlocks unlimited signing.

Does macOS say something else, for example that the app cannot be verified? You probably have an older installer, download the current version. If that does not help, write to support@supersigner.com, we answer within 24 hours on working days.
